    He could do all the political shows himself, but.. I doubt anything will come close to TG unless the other two go with him...

    And a sensible car program just won't work with Clarkson

    I doubt this is going to end 'badly' for TG.

    Clarkson reporting it first, the guy saying it's no big deal, and so on. Probably be fine.

    No matter how much I like Clarkson, not even he can make me want to tune into ITV.

    If Clarkson is sacked/leaves I'd like to see Chris Harris on Top Gear.

    I'd like this too, he's eminently more likeable. I'll warrant Harris is a better driver around the track as well.

    The problem is that Chris Harris actually talks about cars seriously, whereas Jezza lost the ability not to be a tosser when talking about "normal" cars some years ago when Top Gear went pop.

    I think if Chris Harris got in on the show, it wouldn't work in it's current format.

    If they are going to get someone like Harris, they are going to have to go back to the old format of actually reviewing cars and not just an hour of entertainment / dicking about in cars.

    I agree, I think Chris Harris is great at what he does, but we don't need another 5th Gear imo. If the show was to remain using the same format, there are a few people that could possibly work.

    Chris Evans, Jay Kay, maybe Jodie Kidd if they wanted to spice things up a bit?
