    I'm sure i heard something about monkey harris being brought in? He's at least someone who walk in and do a good review without having a ton of stuff scripted for him.

    He's also pretty good at ragging a car around a track, something which really can't be said of any one of the original trio...

    Not that bothered about Top Gear in general really, but I actually don't mind Matt LeBlanc coming in at all, never watched Friends but I liked him in Episodes so I think he could be good.

    Saw a pootube video of him driving an F40 and F50 round anglesea the other night. in the F40 he spent most of the time whooping and hollering with a devilish grin whilst going sideways. Great stuff :)

    I think he'll be ok. Anyone who expects it to be anything like it was is only deluding themselves. I'm actually hoping for it to go back to it's roots with more reviews and less tomfoolery.

    I love that video. It made me very envious of what he does for a living though.

    The further away it is from the previous concept the better for me. Those who want to watch the original trio can enjoy their upcoming series and let the BBC enjoy its ownership of the brand name ;)

    From interviews I've seen with Le Blanc, he never seemed that charismatic as a person. He doesn't strike me as a natural presenter of a TV show.

    I too was extremely jealous. F40 is my all time favourite car, I still have my matchbox one in a draw somewhere. Just have to get that euro millions win.... I had to stop reading evo because I got too depressed drooling over cars I'll never breathe near let alone drive. :sigh:

    Of course it may help if I turned my green licence into a pink one. :hehe:

    LeBlanc also helps sell the new format to the Americans, he's a recognisable face/name stateside, where as Evans isn't...

    Man - that video features my two favourite cars in the world.
    The F40 is so pure, the F50 sounds SO DAMN GOOD.

    Chris Harris is properly quick, it seems. He's done an older-mercs-around-the-ring thing where he was in a team with David Coulthard. I would reckon that DC wouldn't accept just anyone as a team mate.

    I SERIOUSLY want Harris in a car show. It's actually fun to see him get excited about cars, go quiet (as he does in the P1-on-a-racetrack vid), etc.
    He's a PROPER petrolhead through and through.

    I remember seeing him drive the Le Mans Jag XJR-9 hes was so excited then crapped himself with it in the wet. Gives you an idea what an animal some of these cars were to drive. Like you said he is a proper petrol head he knows about the cars and can drive them. His Ferrari piece with the F40/F50 was brilliant.

    He's also put 4 spare wheels on a C63 AMG (i think that was him) and hooned that around in a wave of protesting tyres and appropriate smoke.
