Ohhh Chris Harris, good for him. I guess it's the end of his youtube channel which would be a shame since I assume he'll have to tone down his more technical bits for top gear.

They could both be brilliant... they could both be bollocks... still too early to say...

I've just watched a Chris Harris video for the first time, didn't even know who he was before. Can see him being good for TG, if the rumours are confirmed. So that's looks like two of the presenters will be better drivers than any of the old three stooges.

There's been word of Eddie Jordon getting in on the act. That would be a disaster.

EJ would be a deal breaker for me.
his incoherent mumbling whenever I watch F1 is bad enough.

It's like the show is flirting with the extremes of greatness and failure. CH = Epic win. EJ = DOA.

I never minded him on the F1 coverage, as in between the ramblings of a mad man there were snippets of meaningful reporting and with his experience could read between the lines of official press releases to bring out the true story. He also had a lot of contacts behind the scenes to get a lot of stories first. But I just don't see where he'd fit in at Top Gear, unless he just had a little section each week for f1 news/roundup.

EJ is a flippin ejit, it would be like a death sentence for TG.

He is, and it probably would be... But on the F1 at least he was an idiot with inside knowledge and worked well with Coulthard who imo is a boring ******* on his own...

I just can't see *why* EJ would be there...

The pre-facelift series had loads of presenters concurrently, remember it only failed in the first place because half the presenters left in the space of a few months, it was pretty popular prior to that.

Part of the cult status of Clarkson's TG has been generated by the BBCs excellent international exporting of the show, which has proved very popular and couldn't/wouldn't have happened in the era of the original show.

I suspect the new show will feature a mix of the two previous versions of TG with some new elements thrown in. I'll watch out of morbid curiosity.

Or guest stigs every show, with various clues building up to the reveal...

I agree with the Stig being old-hat, surely Sabine Schmitz has the driving skill to fulfil his role as resident racing driver.

I believe they're giving the "fast" cars to Chris Harris.

im Cautiously optimistic about the line up...although i would feel much more at ease if they dropped Jordan.

Top gear will never drop the Stig, he has become to much a marketing front for the show to drop him now. i assume i will be with the Majority when i say i will watch it, and if its crap...i will simply stop watching it

Wouldn't say it's hate. They should call it something else. You just can't replace the previous trio.
