In the UK courts? A Russian site? What will they do, tell them off if they win. Write a stiff letter?
Nah they didn't commit murder, they just sell unlicenced (time will tell) albums which in the UK is as far bigger crime.
if the uk courts can let an illegal imigrant drive over a kid and kill it and then let him off with less than a year and points on his licence , i dont think this is going to go too far , the uk judice system is a joke only seconded by the americans
Yeah, as I said to Mr Joolz the double registerer over in that other thread, this is rubbish, the BPI doesn't have a leg to stand on. They must be hoping that people stop using allofmp3, or trying to make it more controversial in order to get more attention focussed on it, because ever they aren't this stupid.
You're kidding right? The lawsuit has no legal basis, and it means nothing, other then that the BPI want more pressure on allofmp3, simple as that.
Well no technically they're not, but thats besides the point. The lawsuit will not go ahead, because allofmp3 won't come to the UK to participate, because they dont have to
They're just cheesed off because allofmp3 got the business model right and are kicking the ass of iTunes and napster in the mp3 download stakes, from what I've read on their site they are licensed by the appropriate authorities in Russia and pass across royalties to the appropriate authority in their country, it may be a grey area of the law elsewhere but it looks to me like they are legal as far as Russian law is concerned (based on a quick perusal of their legal section) its just the losers badmouthing the competition
it's an excellent service, it maybe illegal but it works better than itunes and gives so many options for file types... shame the bpi think they can win
I think it's backfiring... i had never heard of allofmp3.com until this lawsuit. And now i'm going to buy some songs for 4p
Same here. I refused to use iTunes as I'm not about to pay $.99 a song for something that's not lossless. It still basically equates to paying the full price for a cd without the cd. allofmp3, here I come.
Dont forget the canadians. There's some major druglord here. Made hundreds of millions of dollars, had a complete system for smuggling cocaine up here and marijuana down south. Had 100+ people working for him, and at any given time, had hundreds of millions of dollars. He ordered many executions. He got busted, and is serving <5 years. He'll probubly get off sooner for "good behavior" too.
