Just trimmed the ZZ Top beard down into a more respectable goatee, but I can still gather my goatee into a hair tie if I want to. I trim my beard with the professional hair clipper thingies. No guard, shave the head and the cheeks, cause they're shot with gray. I'm losing my hair/approximately 15-20% gray at 27, so I just shave my head. Rather go bald gracefully. For reference, I had more than an inch more beard than when I took my last pic for the forum.
I havnt cleaned shaved in about 2 years, I trim to either a 2 or 3 usually every 4-5 days or when I'm going out and want to impress also since I get a buz cut every week it matches the length of my hair
Haha, this topic made me smile. I don't shave for religious reasons so I have a pretty huge beard. Sometimes I catch hell for it (kissing? spilling soup? ) On the plus side, it makes me look like I'm friggin thirty, so I don't have trouble in clubs and/or bars where some friends with 5 o'clock shadows would be asked to leave.
I on my cheekes i get patches so i just shave those (electric) but the rest i leave. I loath it when i have to shave completely when im at work (apparently you cant make a total seal with a beard and a full face mask) as like others have mentioned, i look like im 12. Rigth now im growing mine back again i just trim it once a week or so (unless i have to tart myself up). The GF likes me with a beard, its better than stubble as after a while your beard starts being soft and gental.
I remember my old instructor had one of those longhorn mustaches.. it went up and twirled a bit on the ends- he was a mason though, they like to do crazy stuff like that
lol! well done Fisher, youve just showed whats happening in your brain I havnt written "genital" ive written gental
I have a full beard now for almost 2 years. 9mm on the sides and 12 mm on the chin. My biggest problem is the that i have to shave my cheeks otherwise the hair grows all the way up to my eyes. For some weird reason my beard becomes more and more ginger even though i am not and nobody in my family is.
Exact same problem here, hair grows all over my cheeks and appears to be ginger once it gets to a certain length. Comes thick and fast though, would need to shave twice a day to be clean shaven. Oddly, I recently lost all my hair, it's grown back darker and is now wavy. Hopefully my beard will also be darker and lose the ginger tint! As with others, without facial hair I look about 12. Not been ID'd since I've been 25, although it's only been a couple of months and I've barely been to the pub. Fingers crossed this is a sign of things to come... looking 7 years younger than I am must have meant when I was 18 I looked 11, lol! Chops look cool, although once you've done that style, there isn't much scope for doing others before you shave it all off. I'd start out and work in until you're left with the hitler
I also have gingerbearditis, it's from my Scottish blood (my half Irish friend has the same disease). I keep considering growing a beard, I currently sort of have one, it's stubble that's gone rather long and I've not bothered to trim back to stubble (gave up with shaving properly a long time ago). Although this time I can't actually trim it down cos I still have open wounds on my chin. There's also the problem that a beard would mask my awesome manly jaw.
