LOL... make sure you have original set to English first... I have mine set default to auto, which google interpreted as Czech... only works if translated from English to German it seems. Otherwise it's quite unpleasant. Wonder if it's one of those intentional google easter eggs, or just an interesting coincidence?
Intentional easter egg, the "Listen" button says "Beatbox" when you enter it. Presumably there's some sort of requirement in the text to trigger it.
It's the only trouble with the german language - I find I just want to continually do the robot whenever I hear it being spoken.

You have to enter the text into Google Translate, but set the source language as German. It is that bit that you listen to. What you translate it into is irrelevant; ignore that.
