    HELP

My ADSL router will connect, then let me view a few sites then stop working, I'll look at the lights and the connection will have dropped.
Im on BT Broadband and had the router for ages, I've reset everything on the router over and over again.
I know its not the line as I tried my speedtouch modem (BT supplied) and that will stay on for ages..

When I got to this bit the connection dropped!!

Back online, wtf is going on anyone got any good ideas?

    router model # f5d7632uk4a

If it's the same as my father in law's, it's feeding some kind of voltage back down the dsl line, causing it to drop. I bet it does it to the second, if you time it. Luckily, Belkin have lifetime warranties on all their products, so rma it to Belkin.

It might be time to get your line checked by BT?

It only happens with the belkin routers :duh:

I have a similar problem with my Belkin Modem/Router.
It's their "ADSL2+ Modem with Wireless G Plus MIMO Router", and it drops the ADSL connxion approx. 3 to 4 times each day. Power off and back on, and alls ok again. It's the second replacement to suffer from this.
Had a Netgear Modem/Router before, and that had to be rebooted once in 2 years ...!!
If no one can shed any light on this, I'm taking this one back and getting a Netgear instead.

Had enough, so replaced Belkin with Netgear ... been running fine ever since!!
How things change ... I can remember a time when you couldn't make a mistake going down the Belkin path!!

I sorted out 2 mates with wireless routers. Both on BT and 1 year apart. The first one sorted straight away. Then same model a year later, but belkin changed something and it never worked even at my other mates house. Was a different exchanges. Changed to netgear and it was fine.

I have this router, and did have the same problem...I found a firmware update on belkin's site, and it seems to have made life a bit easier, not dropped once yet, although i'm never going to get another belkin product if i can help it...
