    Hi all!

I've been looking at the BenQ E2200HD and the Viewsonic vx2260wm. I'm trying to decide which one to buy. I know they are both quite similar monitors as they are basically competitors in the same class.

Does anyone at all have the monitors to themselves? I'd very much appreciate some first hand experiences or testimonials with the 2 monitors.

I want to buy one of these monitors, but of course want to hear some feedback from people who already have them! Any comment would be highly appreciated!!!

Not to complicate matters but the one I'd go for is the Dell S2209W: looks good, simple, 150quid delivered

I went for the Dell S2209W myself, however check out the review for the Viewsonic vx2260wm.

^^ then apparently a review for the BenQ 24" (not the 22" unfortunately) is coming soon ^^ :)

I bought the Viewsonic, don't know what it's like yet, because I'm waiting for the final parts of my new build to arrive.

What's the specs for the Dell? And the Viewsonic? Is it similar to the BenQ? They should be right? I mean they're all competing for the same market share, so I"m assuming they're very similar to each other.

What I've gathered so far is that the E2200HD has 21.5" in widescreen display, 16:9 display ration, which is perfect for watching movies, correct? Something to do with elminating the black bars on the top and bottom of the screen, so the movie fits perfectly as the same size as the screen? 1920x1080 resolution, which is one of the most important thing that I am keen and interested in with this monitor! I need a larger display for sure, and with 1920x1080 I'm sure it'll satisfy my greed. I've read that some people dislike it because there is not enough vertical room? Is that a real issue? I mean your eyes can only take in so much information at once, is it that hard to scroll down a page? Hahhaha.

I read that the contrast is 10,000:1 and the brightness is 1,000:1, not exactly sure what those are, does anyone wish to share their insights?

And for 2ms (GTG), which is Gray to Gray right? I know it's response time, but is there a big difference between 2ms and 5ms? And what's Gray to Gray?

HDMI sounds cool, I'd really want to try to hook up my PS3 to the screen and play games on it! That'd be pretty sweet!

    Anyway suggestions guys?

I have the Benq E2400HD. I love it. Nice design of the monitor, and a sharp and colorful display. I play a lot of games and I like the sharpness of the pics. As far as I know, the E2200HD is basically the same, same resolution but a little smaller. The E2400HD additionally has a webcam which you can stick on top of the monitor.

I'd go for the BenQ although that Dell looks nice as well..

As far as it goes the BenQ has pretty good picture, and that it's input lag is relatively low is a plus too.
