I picked this up last night on Margo's recommendation. I've only played it briefly so far but I like what I've seen. I'm avoiding all the videos of cool stuff for the time being as I want to try to figure out some of the tricks on my own first.
New update to the game: http://steamcommunity.com/games/346010/announcements/detail/154583549679727034 Nice, steady work going on. The new balloons add so many new opportunities for flying contraptions. I'm curious about the sliders as their functionality seems quite limited right now as they can only slide one block, a bit like an unpowered piston really.
Yay, propellers can be flipped, this should be very good for flying stuff. The mapping overlay should be useful too. *EDIT* Yep, work nicely, now got my counter rotating chinook style heli working. Props look a lot more meaty now. Still need to get a bit more control into it. Want a steering joint that can move in two directions. Or even just a ball and socket, then I might be able to use the elastic bands to move it.
Probably yeah, but it would be rather large and unweidly to be on a spinning prop, . I tried, but it doesn't really work how I envisioned, the elastic doesn't keep it in the centre so your constantly readjusting it. Then I tried making a gryoscope, think I need to refresh my memory on what a gyroscope is and how it works,
Not been on it since my last post. Wanted to leave it for a bit to get some more development. There has been a few updates, there's a new "land" with a few new levels, and I think they've added/tweaked a couple of bits, but overall I think it's coming along rather slowly.
