IMO you can't go wrong with the good old Alpha Pal8045 with a Mechatronics 53cfm. As for how cool it will keep your CPU, you haven't stated how your Thermaltake does and it depends greatly on your case temp. However, I get around 6-8 degrees above case temp with mine!

i normally get around 38-40 idle, and 44 load on with my TT6CU+... case temp roughly 20-24

IMO that's a bit too much for that case temp! Your case temps are OK though, and a better HSF should help!

Also, don't forget to use a good thermal paste like ASII or 3 when applying the HSF. It makes all the difference!

Yeah, that's another option. I would still go for the Alpha if you Motherboard supports it though! (Mounting holes I mean)

The original post doesn't say what the CPU is....

With my setup (as in sig), I get CPU LOAD temps of case temp+19-20C, and the case remains at room temp (22-23C typically).

The Alpha is very good if you can fit it on your motherboard (many boards don't have room), otherwise go for the Swiftech MCX462.

A vote for the swiftech MCX462 here :) My xp1700+ is running at 1900+, with an idle temp of 37C, and a case temp of 27C. I took the delta fan off tho as it was driving me nuts! It has a mechatronics on there now - much better

Im running a Soyo Dragon+ - I thought 37c was quite low compared to some of the XP temps I have seen posted? maybe coz mine is O/C slightly?

im runnin a 1.4 athlon with a thermalright sk6 with a delta ontop and my temp is way high, usually around 50c  i cleaned out the heat sink the other day and aplied some fresh artic silver and it took it down to 40 but now its back at 50+ again. im goin to try usin a 60 to 80 fan adaptor next to see if that helps.
