Ive tried DNA and Omega drivers. Any suggestions on something better? I play mostly CS:S.
Personally, I just use the Catalyst drivers with Catalyst Control Center from ATI.com... I don't really bother with modded drivers, as the first thing that you're asked when requiring tech support is "have you installed the latest Cats from ATI.com?"
Yup Catalyst drivers. The Omegas just make me artifact.
Ouch. That sounds painful.
That came out a bit wrong The card should i say, my 9800 Pro @ XT reaches much better speeds with the ATi Catalysts I installed the Omegas once and the screen was covered in white specs (artifacts)
Is it worth keeping them right up to date for cards like 9800 pro? Or do the newer optimisations not really make much difference on the older cards?
Depends what you mean by optimisations...
One thing that is for certain is that there are a list of bug fixes with every new release, so it just depends whether your favorite title is in that list or not.
Well I use the omega drivers with my 9800XT with an artic cooler. And I experiance NO artifacting what so ever and my temps are nice and low, plus the performance is really good so i've got no complaints.
