for me the geatestar ever wath ti 4200. You can still game with it to this day with low setings. My favorite card ever was the gf2 mx400 that I oc'd to hell and back. And ofcourse the geforce 256bit.

Crappy card? I think the 5800U and non U's were flops. but they werent bad cards.

I've still got a soft spot for my old Voodoo3, used to munch through Halflife with no problems.
Worst card? Well, I've got a 6800XT in my rig now, I really should have read some reviews first :(

My humble 9700 is still going strong so another vote for 9700/9800 for the best.

The worst has to be either the 5800, or that Voodoo 5 dual core humungus thing that dimmed your house lights when you switched it on.

I say for ATi the 9700 pro because it is the base that all newer ati cards are based on. I say that is greater than the 9800 pro because the 9800 was just a revison of the 9700. That is the card that pulled ati to the top of gaming prefomance in it day. Nvidia i would say the 6800 as it was a great recovery from the flop of the 5800. Currently i don't know much about the older cards besides the fact I wanted a 3Dfx banshee over my rage 128 xpert works great for 2d stuff.

my geforce 3 64mb was the best for me :p i managed to get some decent play out of it though it was outdated really fast.

Im sure it sucks in comparison to others but i played many games on it including World of warcraft lol, although that did push it hard :p

9800 or 9700 for sure. though my old gf2 mx400 was pretty good, at the time, and clocked really well. can't complain for £35, but still not really a patch on a 9700/9800. 9500/9600's were damn good value, but im not sure if theyr really alive any more, and i dont think they could handle newer games too well.

5800 has to be the biggest flop, seeing the launch and collapse of its career in a few weeks hehe. man i feel sorry for anyone who got one, only to see the 5900 out in a matter of weeks.

I got some serious mileage out of my GeForce2 GTS. It was the best card out when I bought it and only £215. A bargain by today's prices.

I kept it for three years and used it in two PCs, firstly a PIII 700 and when that got a bit long in the tooth I kept it and put it in my XP2100. I bought some heatsinks for the memory and overclocked it and got even more use from it.

In the end I found that as the DX8 and 8.1 games started coming out, it either wasn't supported or didn't display all the special effects, so I sold it and replaced it with a 9600 Pro.

A totally awesome GFX card though

    TNT2...loved that card.
    Ti4200 kept me gaming.
9600XT Crap card but got me through thick and thin. Nothing like having the worst box at the LAN with the best scores, baby. (Not a joke btw.)

Cards I haven't owned but in the list:

9700 Pro it'l still run anything.
6600GT I think it deserves credit for being a badass budget card.

    Hmmm....

Voodoo 3 was a good card, my Ti4200 was a great card, but I'll have to give it to the 9700 Pro. I never owned one (I had a 9500 Pro), but it started DX9 games and is still a reasonable proposition today.

I don't know why so many people mention the 9800 Pro, when that was just a slight update of the king! :D

The 6800's that could be unlocked into ultras. Those were some sick cards.

Edit: Ohh and i'm not talkin about the gt's either. I mean the 6800u's.
