I am trying to figure out the most efficent fan set up for my case It has 2 x 120mm on the top, 1 on the bottom, one at the front, 2 at the side, 1 at the back My son's thoughts are,( after extensive goggling lol) two on top blowing out, bottom side and front sucking in. We dont use the back one as it is beside the CPU cooler fan As usual your comments would be welcome Here is my kit ( Haven't figured out yet how to show this at the bottom of my posts! ) Enermax ECA3250-B Ostrog Midi Tower white VTX3D AMD Radeon HD 7870 Tahiti LE Arctic Cooling Freezer i30 CPU Cooler MSI Z87-G45-GAMING ATX Motherboard Intel Core i5 4670K G-Skill 8GB Ripjaws X DDR3 2133 Evga 500w bronze psu
You should use the one at the back - depending on which cooler you have this normally helps run more air through the heatsink. Which is a good thing. The front and side you could have as ins and the back and top as outs - though the side in's are not always that important, unless there is a low one that is over the gpu then you could stick one there. Edit: yeah with the i30 you want to use the rear fan, have the fan on the cooler pushing towards that fan and have that fan as an exhaust
