Crysis still looks amazing.
TES IV: Oblivion once modded up looks stunning.
Don't really play PC games. I play mine on the PS3.
I too like great looking games but also the game has to be good. Visually stunning will turn cold real quick with a rubbish game so you want to get the best of both worlds. Uncharted 2, MGS4 and Killzone 2 look amazing on a good HDTV but play brilliant as well. (Resistance 1 & 2 are not the very best visually but are so much fun and create a great atmosphere so you end up having a ball.)
For the PC I would recommend Burnout Paradise. It is an awesome game. I've played nearly 200 hours on my console and played the PC demo last week. It looks great and is a wickedly fun game to play. Batman Arkam Asylum scrubs up pretty well, too.
I've played the Crysis Demo but have heard that the game is pretty lame all told, apart from the very high graphic requirements. But Crysis 2 does look a much better game.
World in conflict is almost certainly the best looking RTS ever made, also great fun, quite cheap now, great storyline and awesome destruction.
Crysis as has been said, and just cause 2.
With just cause 2, it's not so much each little detail is great, just that you can see so much of the island with no loading screens or anything.
Metro 2033 takes most of your graphics card. Though I'm not sure if I really like the graphics.
Dawn of War II gives it some decent competition. Very vibrant and powerful graphics, rich on the bullets and explosions.
Couldn't agree more with the BFBC2 comment. It's not so much the textures etc (although they are damn good), it's the fact that you can destroy pretty much everything on the map. The first time I saw something like that was in Red Faction on the PS2 many years ago, although the destruction was quite limited. Destructible environments can really help a game be more immersive.
^^ This. Absolutely mate. It keeps you on your toes!!. You can't take cover behind a wall, because 5 seconds later, that wall is GONE!! Thats what i loved about BC2. Also, you don't level up like in MW. You don't prestige every five seconds. You have to really work at each level to progress.
I did think that BC2's graphics needed something else. I know its in a desert and you're limited with colours, but it would have been nice to see some. Did anyone think it looked a little ....bland...in desert maps like Arica Harbor? Almost like Far Cry 2?
Is it just me?
Why settle for real-life ? If you need more colour, try Psychonauts
A fully modded Homeworld 2 is nice(Point defence mod, high-res textures and models, HDR mod). Can't quite stand up to the best RTS's, but it's not far off.
interesting, can you link me to those mods?
+1 (apart from the PDS mod, it sucks IMHO).
I'm probably going to get yelled at for this, but Modern Warfare 2 with all the eyecandy on (as well as forcing extras like ambient occlusion through the drivers) is damn nice to look at.
Homeworld 2 FX forum(may be dead)
The HDR update seems to have been taken over by a couple of other mods(Babylon 5 being one) and I can't find an active DL.
I have some of the mods backed up at home, but I won't be going back until christmas...
Assassin's Creed 2 is also graphicaly nice.
GRID with graphical mods is verrrry nice. (Thank you Gunsmith with the 'Revisiting GRID' thread!)
Double post; delete please.
Just Cause 2 looks fantastic
GTA 4, Prince of Persia Prodigy (2008), Battle for Middle Earth 2.

Shattered Horizon deserves a mention.
Ah, yes, surprised I forgot that one. I should go and have a little go on it.
