hi guys I need help deciding what is the best low profile graphics card for less than £30
I have found some but I don't know which one is the best

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/512m...mhz-gddr2-gpu-450-mhz-shader-900-mhz-16-cores

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/512m...gddr2-gpu-600mhz-80-cores-d-sub-dl-dvi-i-hdmi

I am swaying towards the 5450 as it is the only one with GDDR3 ram and this usually makes a big difference with graphics cards or can you find a better card for the price? thanks

looking at some benchmarks, even though the hd5450 is newer, the hd4550 is still slightly faster
http://www.anandtech.com/show/2931/6 also make sure to read the conclusion.

what will be the main use? htpc?
as you do realise, these are not good for gaming

you could get a passive cooled used hd4670 or hd3870 for that price, if you want to go down that route

yes but the graphics card most not need extra power other than the pci slot i am afraid so those options are out

the graphics card will only be playing things like Rome total war and anno 1404

The 5450 is overall the best card at this pricepoint.

Allthough the 4550 might be faster in some 3d-games, it lacks proper Audio over HDMI output and it aswell lacks the enhanced video-acceleration of the 5450. Additionally the 5450 uses 30% less energy then the 4550.

The 4760 doesn't need any extra power connectors; same with the 5670. Both are a bit more than £30, but will run most games on middling settings, unlike the cheaper cards.
