Star Wars Trilogy
hmm I have to agree with Gambleputti and say Snatch - great film
IMO one of:
The Usual Suspects
Although more films keep popping into my head (LA Confidential, Goodfellas, Green Mile,etc..) and i'm giving myself a headache trying to declare the best.
I would have to say either House Of 1000 Corpses (europian version, NOT the trimmed down american one) or 28 Days Later. Though, Cast Away is a good follow up, but just isn't as good.
YEEEHAW!!! SOMEONE ELSE! Lost In Translation has been one of the best films my eyes have ever had the pleasure of observing. I never had such a huge urge to go to Japan until I saw that movie. I seriously think the film changed my life. Now, I just need to enact those changes. Such a beautiful story. I love Bill Murray. Scarlett Johansson (this is the first movie I've seen her in) was great. I cannot truly express how much I really love this movie in text or through voice.
I'd say Fight Club, but The Exorcist, Ring (the original Japanese movie) or Monty Python and the Holy Grail are not far !
Different style, but references !
The Hudsucker Proxie
Thats true, the old one kicked ass. Very dark and moody, but also spine tinglingly uplifting. How would you like to avenge your fathers death- I know!
Blow up a mountain wall with nukes, ride an enourmous worm through the hole while all my mates get stuck in, and then kill lots of evil troops by shouting at them. Also get my younger sister to stab fat boy and then I'll go kill Sting as well while he's taking the p--- out of me! What better way to do it?
Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels, Trainspotting, Donnie Darko, Mulholland Drive, Cruel Intentions, Grave of The Fireflies, City Of God, Boondock Saints, Bowling For Columbine, Dogville (must see!), Pulp Fiction, Lilja 4-Ever (must see), Memento, Run, Lola, Run! (Lola Rennt), Fight Club, Battle Royale, Pahat Pojat (Bad Boys), Kill Bill Vol1, Requiem For A Dream, Shawshank Redemtion, Thirteen etc etc etc...

I'm a star wars geek and well best movie in the world in my eyes is not just one of the movies.. but since they all are basically 1 long ongoing saga it could be concidered a long movie.

how are so many films that i've never heard of, let alone seen popping up on this forum? either people are making weird choices or i haven't seen that many movies. most likely the latter...
Sitra, get out and rent some movies, OTHER than what Hollywood shoves down your throat.
For me, best movie of all time is a really, really hard one. I'm going to have to go with what I think is the best movie ATM...so, as far as that I'm gonna say Edward Scissorhands. One of Depp's best performances. Usually, the best ones are the ones without much talking.
As far as TV shows, American Chopper, Monster Garage, those are awesome, but best by FAR is Family Guy.
