I need a good graphics card and i'm not looking to pay anymroe than $170 US. pretty much i'm decidiiing between the x800GTO2, the x800GTO Fireblade, and the x850XT..... any other suggestions are welcome. reasoning would be nice as well.

    thanks.

The Sapphire X800GTO2 can be reflashed to an X850XT PE. If you aren't good with reflashing or overclocking, go for the X850XT.

£170? You could pick up a good second hand 7800GT in places. ;)

PE is Platinum Edition, really it just means higher clock speeds. Most non PE cards can be overclocked to PE speeds. Once it is happy at PE speeds you can normally bios flash a non PE card into a PE card.

S**T if i had £170 i'd buy the 7800GT refurbed. sadly $170 equals only like £90 or so.

The 7600GS are around that figure also as is the X1600XT. All are good cards, as bigz mentioned the 7600 GT is the one to go for if you can stretch to it.

No, its SLI-ready. Meaning you *can* use it in a SLI board, but you don't have to.
    Any PCI-E card will work.
