That won't cost an arm or a leg.

Head to your nearest vandal-proofed bus shelter and vandalise it.

Or try the DT department of your local school, they'll have offcuts of perspex coming out of their ears.

What pray is DT department? I assume it has nothing to do with Delirium tremens?

As for my local bus shelter the perspex has already been got at though I believe my local phone box still has some pristine sheets.

I think I have found a supplier very local and emailed them. I did find an online supplier who wanted to charge a tenner postage for a bit which was going to cost less than 2 quid.

Try a commercial sign maker, they work in perspex and will have offcuts.

My missus managed to get a small piece from a local sign making company.

They happily gave it to us for free as it was only 6x10inches, cut and finished too.

What thickness and size do you need. I have a few bits laying about gathering dust.

370mm x 240mm x 3 or 4mm. It is for the side of my FT03 which I am looking to sell on and this spoils the overall look.

So far I have had a £14 quote and a £7.95 both these include postage. There is a place nearby which I have emailed and hopefully they will come up with something.

1: Ask Yellow pages about local plastics suppliers.
2: Ring and ask if you can take a look at their scrap bin.

I emailed them yesterday for the custom size rather than paying ten quid for something I would then need to cut myself.

Well anywhere that custom size cuts will charge for the service, it's hardly a feat of engineering cutting Perspex mate, and you should have said you wanted it cut for you
