As the title suggests I am looking to swap my 22" Samsung 1680x1050 for a 24" monitor (22" at a push) that has at least 1920x1200 res.

I don't do any photo editing so perfect colour reproduction isn't high on the agenda but I do want a near perfect image and no bleed for gaming.

Panel technology doesn't bother me as long as the image is good.

    Budget is around £250.

Well I just had the same dilema as you I wanted a good screen sub 300. Loved the look of the Dell Ultrasharp 24" but was too expensive coming in at £450. However by searching around I eventually found one on ebay (for £250 exactly) which was a surplus unit from dell with a small scratch on the stand. The monitor is perfect and the scratch is so tiny its almost invisible.

So what I am saying is shop around and take a look for stuff like that and you can get a dam good 24 inch screen within your budget

Some guy in the UK selling forum has a 27" going with the 3 year warranty think its 1920x1080 though, but it would look great. Its cheaper than your budget.

I'm now considering this Dell SP2309W.

A couple of issues spring to mind if anyone out there has one of these and can advise :).

1 Seeing as it doesnt have a standard res will all games support it.
2 In reviews comments have been made about the screen being refective, how much of an issue is this.

    Cheers
