I've had an Logitech MX-700 for 3-4 years now and I'm having problems finding a suitable pair of AA rechargable batteries.

The original pair of AA that came with the mouse lasted for over a year with quite heavy daily use, before beginning to lose their charge.

At this point I bought 2 pairs of Duracell Rechargable 1700mAh NiMH batteries from ebay. The first pair was getting to the stage where, after a full charge, you could only use the mouse for an hour, after only 3 months of usage. The second pair was pretty much the same.

Any ideas what batteries I could go for?

I wouldn't ebay batteries (like those), just go to a shop and buy new ones. Batteries that are treated improparly will quickly lose their charge. And they aren't that expensive.

I never had problems with Duracell...

I person use Digital Camera batteries by Vanson (IIRC) they have upto 2400mAH charge, and can cost a bit but places like Maplin do offers with 4AA+4AAA+ Charger for £15

    Comment from Amazon:
Maybe the contacts need a clean, alcohol on a cotton bud.
It's not wise to leave NiMH on charge unless they need it, a cheap charger doesn't know when to stop so frequent "topping-up" charges easily lead to over-charging and battery damage.

I need new batteries for my diNovo keyboard - I know wireless KBs are low drain over a long time which isn't exactly where rechargeables are in their element but any suggestions for a set that hold their charge for as long as possible?

Was thinking uniross, as I will probably keep a spare set handy and I've got several uniross chargers so I can leave one next to the PC with a set on trickle

if your constantly taking them on and off charge e.g. charging them every time you leave a computer you need Lithium Ion batterys (L-Ion)

if you charge them at night time you can use Nickel Metal Hidrides (NM-Hi)

if you intend to charge them when they run out until they are full you need Nickel Cadium (Ni-Cad)
