Hey all. I used to run version 3.14.22 whql drivers on my Geforce 680. Occassionally I would get a crash when playing BF3 and a box stating "blah blah device Hung blah blah 680". It seems many people have had this issue. No idea why this was. Anyway it was not to bad as some weeks it never did it and some it did.

I started playing the BF4 beta and the performance wasn't great. I therefore took there advice and downloaded the latest whql drivers (327.). Now BF 4 was even worse with jerky performance etc. The other side effect is that now BF3 crashes all the time with this Hung error. It is only BF3 I have an issue with.

My question is : what is the best way to roll back to version 3.14.22?. I have never done this. Do I just download the drivers and click and let the program do the rest?. Do I go into add/remove programs and uninstall first and then install the old ones?.

    Thanks Lee,

PS if anyone knows why BF3 gets that "hung" error that would rock. Though from what I have seen it's a probelms that DICE etc should fix.

Firstly, try the current beta ones [331.40], the WHQL ones are generally no better [or worse] than the betas, they're just whichever ones nvidia can be bothered getting certification for.

If all else fails, download the older drivers, choose 'custom install' and tick the 'clean install' box.
