    Hi guys,

I'm just playing around with my GTX 570 and wondering what the best way to test stability of an OC is?

For example, I can pass Uniengine benchmarks at certain levels, but at the same levels in BC2 the card white screens out.

Furmark is a poor tool that can even show artifacts in standard clocked memory. I wouldnt bother!

The best way is to load a nice game up, crank it to the max, slap a load of AA and AF on (ie 16x AF, 32x AA) and have a nice little bash at slug FPS for the next hour or so and if it doesnt conk out your good to go.

IBT, prime95 etc is also a poor system stability test as it overloads and stresses a part even beyond what the manufacturer intended at stock so why people do this I do not know.

Folding at home is also a very good way of testing stability and theres numerous ways of doing it so you can test your CPU or your GPU too.

FurMark and the like also fail quite well on nVidia cards, due to the Clock scaling to stop Furmark from melting the card, The above mentions for taking a normal game and just cranking everything up as high as it'll go tend to work well for testing.

Metro 2033 on DirectX 11 is my game of choice for Overclock Testing, it's a Beautiful game with everything maxed.
