CPU best way to wrap amd cpu?

    :confused:hello i was wonderin what is the best way to wrap an amd cpu to ship so as not to bend the cpu pins ???

    The way you sent the one I purchased from you arrived here fine, do you not have any more plastic cases with the foam in?

    Raid a jewelers shop, chuck all the rings back and just keep the boxes...Simples:D

    Cardboard, or ridgid foam on both sides taped together (don't use anything soft that can sink into the pins and create pressure points). Add some packing peanuts round the sides if in a box, or if you're bold enough go use a bubble mailer, double up on cardboard.

    I once mailed a s775 P4 in a standard evolope surounded by thin cardboard, and it came out just fine on the other end. I had to pay an extra $.50 over standard postage, but it was still $7 less than a box

    I'd say go for foam that the pins can sink into as it'll hold them in place, I've had many IC's delivered that way with no issues...
