We will see what happens one finished, Thank you!

Ya, it's a good card imo, but there are so many cards out there these days...

I didn't see static as a major problem so far... did you experience any damage to HW or is it just that it attracts all the dust particles from whole street?

    Thanks! :thumb:

Shame about you having to strip Cubo for parts, though. It is still one of the coolest looking HTPCs I've ever seen.

On Air cube when I had acrylic windows & with the sound card very close to the window I remember putting the cover on & a pop type noise & the pc shut down like a short, it started back up again & all seemed ok, I thought it done some damage to my auzentech prelude as it sometimes has a weird issue of a ton of crazy electronic noise but only noticed the issue after this but also know now it happens on these cards so since been a bit wary of static filled acrylic damaging tech, to be honest I don't know if static from acrylic has any type of problems when near tech but was an odd moment, it'd be good to hear from anyone else who knows.

You can buy anti static cleaner, I think most acrylic/plastics stores sell it usually around the adhesives & other bits part of the shops.

But I guess if you've had it up & running with the acrylic piece on without probs then it must have left the plastic before you put it on, think when I did it it was straght after pulling the protective wrapper off it lol so was a lot of static on it :duh::lol:.

I used the same sleeving in Sui Generis, fantastic colour in it even in natural daylight, but spectacular under UV conditions. :thumb:

Looks very good. Did you buy the heatshrink pre-cut, or did you cut them yourself?

I'm still working on bits and pieces before I'll put everything together...

I made small legs for case, removed all stickers and painted graphics card. Painted both motherboard and vga pcb edges black, capacitors got a black top as well. I also made my own CPU cooler cover... see the pics for details and how the system looks just now

Well done dude, nice work. That is looking really really tidy. The Cooler cover is a lovely touch. I love all the little deatils on the mod, like painting the tops of the caps. It's not some thing that would even enter my head when I'm modding. Excellent work. looking forward to seeing more. + rep

Little update on how things advance. I made a slot loader replacement for ordinary DVD writer, also finished sleeving and I started to put the whole thing together... not far from finish line now;)
