After the housing is finished I put the board times into the case.

    Fits perfect.

Then we continued with metal details. Above the display the trapezoid, right and left on the sides of the "caps" (I think that's something to be seen in the game bad) and down Windows.
    So in the original:

And here the reaction in the metal.

    It went on.

First I sanded all times so I can see if I still need filling .

The bumps are so minimal that everything would disappear under the filler.

Here is the size comparison when I have the remote in your hand .

Then I have the board installed in the housing , the mount for the screws from the lid welded , drilled and threaded filed the cutouts for the Micro USB and USB dual port .

Loarding folds and the double plug fits perfectly.

Finally, I 've made the plexiglass window for the cover.

    That's it for today

I like that you made it smaller than the game version. You still have tons of room to work with, but it's much tidier.

Very interesting, subbed. I like very much when something is being made of metal, with bending and welding. Sometimes I get tired of “life in plastic”.

    Thanks Guys,

@Cheapskate: i think it very near at the original size. But i have no exact dimensions of the original remote. There really is difficult to assess the player 's hand size.

    Mini update:

Now the rear and side windows was their turn

and the slot for SD card
    [IMG]

Then I have drawn the keypad with CAD. Are small.
Now I 'm thinking whether I make the buttons made of aluminum or polystyrene.
Polystyrene is faster Alu looks better.

    thx

    Next Update:

Have made the keys from 2mm aluminum . Despite my sausage fingers it worked out well .

But first we went to the substructure of the keypad.

For this I used the other cover of the external housing and cut pointing to size.

Next, I make two Plexiglas strip , so that the keypad fits later still.

Then I screwed the plate on the plexiglass and additionally fixed with a few drops of superglue.

Lid on it and test it. Fits so quite well
    [IMG]

The buttons I've actually even put it.

Now the buttons can be glued on.
The opening for the buttons in the cover I made an extra bit smaller so I can still adjust the .
This is what I made in the next step .

Thus, the keypad is also ready and working.

In the game, the keys are still green, but I 'll let her ground in aluminum , as is well known, color worn at much use and it looks like **** .

    That's about it again .

Now a little bit of plastic work.:D

Now i have to work on the optical fibre form the mediashare to the top

As a leader, are the director always aware of SMDs I have a piece of polystyrene screwed onto the board ( the picture is before the rework / finely grind the polystyrene ) .

Das sind die Lichtleiter die durch das Plexi geführt sind und mit Kleber fixiert wurden.

Then i testet it. It work perfect.
the optic fiber I will then grind after painting the upper stripe in black, to the right length .

Before it goes with the painting going on , I have made a parking lot for the plugs and adapters.
Since the M.A.V. Remote via micro USB is loaded I took a 220V power supply from my old smartphone and a little rebuilt .

    First I sanded everything smooth.

Then I removed two double USB plug the interior.

This , I then glued to the AC adapter.

Now I could measure how great must be the new cover and have these made of aluminum.

Then I welded and smoothed the edges of everything.

Finally, I have filed the cutouts in the cover for the connector and charging .[IMG]

Thus, the sheet metal work has been completed .
Next, I will prepare to paint everything and then paint everything.

    So the PSU looks now.

    update:

Today I have been looking after illumination and display.

First I worked NEN screenshot from the game and printed on film.
The back I angeschlüffen with 800 grit sandpaper so that I have a good contrast.

Then I got down to the lights on.
First, current flow and then additionally LEDs on the Power / Reset solder board.

The 5V I have branched off with a plug from the main power supply to the SSD.
Thus , the LEDs only when the SSD is on.

So it looks like from the inside .

Then everything assemble and test .
