Whenever I load BF1942 my 9800 pro "shuts off" (basically nothing is displayed and my monitor light blinks due to no signal.) I do hear the games intro movie and the menu however, and when I alt-F4 out of the game, everything goes back to normal. Does anyone know why this is happening? Actually...I might have an idea. Is it possible the game is auto-detecting resolutions and refresh rates my monitor doesn't support? My monitors max res is 1280x1024, and I'm not sure but I think its 72hz refresh rate max. If so, is there a way to edit the graphics settings in the .ini file? BTW, every other game I have works.

Hmm, dunno. Did you have the resolution set higher in the game before on a different card and/or monitor? Thats the only thing I can really think of.

Look for the Video.con file and change "renderer.allowAllRefreshRates" to 1.
