I built a computer taking info of some people on here. my specs are AMD PHENOM2 X4 955 BE Corsair TwinX 4GB DDR3 1333 SStone 500W MODULAR ST50F-230 A/Cooling Freezer 7 Pro v2 Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 Motherb 1GB GByte GTX460 OC PCI-E my internet is fine i can play other games like lfd2 at full specs but when i play this game even at lowest specs it feels laggy. it will be ok for about 5 mins if that then it judders every few seconds like lag but there cant be lag as my connection is fine. now have i built a comp that can not handle this game even at lowest specs or is it just the game. Any help would me greatly appreciated. Thanks all Steve
its not you, the engine for it is absolute bollocks, im amazed people can even tollerate it enough to call bc2 a "good game"
I don't get that and my rig's inferior to yours. I personally get a little bit of input lag even with vsync turned off; it's not a game breaker though. Keep an eye on other things running in the background, the game shouldn't lock up like that. Try updating your drivers too if they aren't up to date.
does it lag in singleplayer? don't have any issue with lag, only lags when im in the middle of 6+ C4 stick explosions.
I get the same. Sometimes i can be playing for half-hour then it just lags and lags, then eventually quits to the desktop with no errors. Am re-installing Win 7 atm though.
whole build is brand new, plus went to nvidia and updated the drivers. nothing running in background. its bloody anoying, i have hear from people that the game itself is coded from a 4 year old lol.
I haven't come across anything like this except during the BETA. Thankfully, the game has been running at a smooth 75fps+ with max on everything @ 1920x1200. Hope you can sort it out.
Running fine on my rig as well, only lags a bit in very rare situations wit too much on screen. Is the game fully updated ? before the first patch I had to run it at medium settings but after I'm going high setting with no problems.
Runs without a problem on either my GTX460 or my GTX470. I have tested with the 258 and 260 release drivers.
No problems at high here and that's with an i5 750 @ stock 4GB ram, GTX 260 @ 1680x1050 What I did find however is that it didn't tolerate overclocks particularly well and running with one actually made it worse. If you are over clocking it may be a good idea to turn it off to prove a point either way
I can run BFBC2 fine at high settings @ 2048x1152, with a GTX460, E6750 @ 3GHz, 4Gb DDR2. I've not noticed any major lag during multiplayer games, though it does lose connection part way through a game sometimes. One thing I've noticed is the silly pings in game, on the server browser pings are around 25ms but in game they are all over 100ms!
I get major lag when i first connect to any server or a fresh map, but this settles within 10 seconds and all runs smooth, well all apart from my skills, they lag like hell
This thread is pointless. Not because the OP's question is not good. Not because the replies are not good. It's pointless because people who believe their game runs fine might also believe the OP's game runs fine whereas the OP would believe everyone else's game also runs like dog shìt. I believe it is the latter. This game cannot run well on any system. It just can't. I don't care what you call it, 25-45 fps is not enough for a first person shooter. If it's enough for you then you aren't qualify to estimate if a game runs well or not. I may sound harsh and pedantic, but I am saying this not to bash people but to make it clear that everyone has a different perspective of fluidity and that this engine shouldn't exist. It should have been scrapped and started over... or preferably abandoned
How many fps do you think is necessary for a game? More than you can see? More than you'd get on television? Movies run at 24fps in the cinema, enough for you to see and understand what's going on, to react when something happens on the screen, so why is this not enough for a computer game?
*sigh* ... not this again... It's not, okay. I don't have to justify anything. It's just not enough for me, and most likely not for the OP as well.
Battlefield Bad company 2 is absolutely disgusting with 45Fps, Yeah it is playable but it's like swim is a Oil pool. I can't imagine with 24Fps....probably like a lead pool ^^
i don't know about you, i was getting all headshots with my GOL tonight at about 50 FPS, and i consider it very good FPS. can't really see much difference between 120Hz and 60Hz, in fact, i'd much prefer PVA monitors to TN panels for their rich colour and good viewing angles. but that's another story. BFBC2 runs fine, same reason why Crysis is enjoyable at 25 FPS. at least for me, where good picture quality is far better than that split second flash
50fps with a 5870 + a 8800gt for Physx & a I7 4Ghz ? I have no reason to buy a new rigs, thanks to you.
