I've been swapping out some of the LEDs in my case but my TFT flat panel and CDRW both have 3 leg, Green/Orange bicolour LEDs. I've looked about for 3 legged bicolour Blue/Red LEDs but no luck.
Does anyone know where I can get these in the UK?

You can't get them in the UK. Believe me, I tried. Try FrozenCPU, or The LED Museum which happens to have some spare on the For Sale page.

This may or may not help, but if they have 3 legs than they are tri-color (2 leds with common anode or cathode), for example a red/green one will appear yellow/orange if both are on at the same time. A Bi-Color is 2 diodes in opposite polarity so when current is one way one color is on, when current is the other way the other color is on.

    Have you checked? :eyebrow:

Do they sell them? :eyebrow: (lexeon.com certainly doesn't, because it's a dead link.)

Does this actually refer to his question? :eyebrow:

Sorry to seem pedantic, but really, guys. Let's try to specifically answer his question.

    3 Legged LED's aren't always Tri-colored ;)
And yes RS stocks bi-color, 3 legged LED's. However NO red/blue ones, which i have never seen before.
I'm sure Farnell has bi-colors too, but their online products search is a biatch. I'll have a peek in their almighty 2004 catalogue tomorrow, perhaps they have blue/red ones.

Another option is to use a true RGB LED, and use only the Red and Blue color. These should be widely available.
RS p/n: (quite expensive, sure they can be had cheaper elsewhere)
    247-1511 diffused
    247-1505 clear

    No red/blue bi-colors at Farnell too :(
So best bet would be a RGB LED and use only the Red and Blue portion.
Found a German shop for these RGB's, way cheaper than RS or Farnell.

/perhaps interesting, they have RGB auto-fading led's too, i wonder how that would look when used with the 10 LED HDD activity circuit :cooldude:

There's no red/blue bi- tri-coloured LEDs in the UK anywhere. I've looked thoroughly, and found none. www.ultraleds.co.uk sells some bi-coloured red/blue ones (two legs, swap polarity to change colour) but they are of no use for Awoken's application.

... and then they say Disco is dead... :cooldude:
