Alright guys, time for a relatively quick build log. I initially did this build for IDF '15 in San Francisco and it made another appearance at PAX Prime 2015. I'm doing some updates on it so I will catch you up to speed and you can stay for the rest Intel and Lian Li approached me for this build as they wanted to show off their brand new PC-O8 chassis and of course show off the new Skylake platform. If you are going to any event that Intel is at in the next year or so, be sure to keep an eye out for it! Intel initially wanted to do the build with the Gigabyte board that they sent me. Then I pointed out the awesome XPower board from MSI and they got me one of those, except now that IDF and PAX Prime have passed, we're reverting to the Gigabyte... Some gear arrived: Playing with an idea: (Different board, was doing a test fit)
So I did some painting on the motherboard... And the fans and the radiators Not perfect, going to need a new coat Fans and radiator turned out great though!
Now to put everything in! I decided to cut down the HDD tray as it won't be used and I can put another 120 rad on the back My dust collector... don't cut inside a home kids. The vinyl logos for the windows! Then Intel sent me this... So all that painting for naught. Side window Front window Getting it all installed! Blah, I ran out of combs and time...
Now! Pics from PAX Prime Sorry guys, I know this isn't my usual quality. I will be posting much nicer photos soon as I do the rebuild
Alright guys, all done, and I'm super excited with how it turned out! This case is unforgiving when it comes to fingerprints... both on the metal and glass :/ Messy back here, but nobody can see After the shoot I realized some small little "blips" that need fixing but overall I"m really happy with the final result! Hope you guys enjoyed as always
I really enjoy your paintjob on the fans and the motherboard. May I ask what happened to the Asus Rog one? Also the sleeve on the hose looks amazing. Overall 10/10 would build again!
Oh wait... it wasnt a rog motherboard I meant the gigabyte g1 . But seems you used that one and then the NEW motherboard wasnt used. My bad
