What's wrong with it? All the components are easy to navigate to.

Anybody know what's up with the Bit-Tech homepage? It was always fine but today it won't load past 23KB. I thought it was something to do with my browser or router, but everything else works fine (including the forums and user cp). I'm using opera.

@sam0r: actually, it's not. I just tried again and the site is down - check the www.bit-tech.net.

I don't find the Maplin site too bad, however RS is terrible. It seems to get slower the further you drill down into a product category. For example, try this:

    > Electronic components, power & connectors
    > Passives
    > Aluminium Electrolytic - Radial
    > FC Series 105°C

It seems the site works slightly better in Firefox than IE, but it's still bad. It sometimes takes ages for the page to load and sometime it doesn't ever load.

    Or is it just me?

It's annoying as RS carry stock of lots of stuff you can't get hold of at Maplin or Rapid. :grr:

HP is pretty bad (when searching for fased out goods.)
and I agree on the Sony, tis very bad.

Lenovo is pretty bad, the Canadian site in particular. Looking at laptops, I saw lots stating they go up to a core duo CPU. and in the subsection of any of the series, there are no core duo CPUs in any of the laptops. Rather annoying, considering the US is somewhat similar. Though after digging on the US site I found some laptops that have the core duo CPU.
It was also broken for a couple days when trying to click on customize. It came up with some funny error message, though that is fixed now.

I'm sure there are MANY more websites out there that are aweful. Mine in particular (but only because its down atm!)

Agreed. I'm getting seriously annoyed with companies that don't specify a page backround colour. Not all of us stinky IE, some of us want to have new pages open in black(so we don't have 20" torches in our faces at 3am). Specifying a page colour can't be that much effort for these highly paid website guys. :|
