I'm just about to order my perspex for a large reservoir, however, i think i've read this somewhere ( either that or i dreamt it ) that you can only build them so big due to the heat expansion etc? Can someone shed some light in this area?
I haven't used perspex per se and hence don't know if it is cast or extruded, but with cast acrylic, people make aquariums out of this. I doubt you would have a problem making any res for use with a PC from this. How large is this going to be?
hmmm, approx the size of the res in Project Flow... so doubt it will be a problem now, im going to read his project log now to find out...
Thermal expansion can pop any size reservoir with enough buildup. You either need a way to relieve the pressure, or build heavy. I've added one of these to the air pocket of my loops. They also make a good leak indicator. If the accordion decompresses while not running/cool, you have a leak somewhere.
