It's back! (and not in pog form) http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2010/01/bigtrak-is-back-80s-robo-toy-resurrected/ I sooo want one of these. I remember lusting after it when they first came out, and pleaded with my parents to get me one for Christmas, only to repeatedly told that they where far too expensive. I swear if I'd ever got one, I'd have probably ended up like the nintendo64 kid
They had one at my primary school. Could only use it for half an hour a week though, Wednesday after lunch iirc.
Posted a pic of this on a nostalgia thread yesterday. Was used in my 1st school - tantrums flared out on the basis there was only one Big Trak, 25 kids in the class, and it was only let out of the 'cupboard of cool stuff' once in a blue moon, much like the 'proper' Technic Lego was.
Wow - it was expensive. 39.95 in 70's cash is the equivalent of approx £220 now... http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/currency/default0.asp#mid Over £200 for a toy truck. I can see why I was denied.
I had one of those. Seriously.... it looks good on paper.. but it quickly became boring.. even in the 70s.
You've just got me looking on ebay now , seem to go for 40 quid with the trailer, you think i'm too old to bid on one?
No idea why but that made me lmao +rep Edit: sadly it says i "must spread some rep around before giving it to you again"
Never. Don't forget - men never grow out of being children, they just get a bank balance which allows for better toys.
