    From PCWorld:

Nancy Spaulding, from North Ridgeville, Ohio, noticed something strange in her monthly invoice from EBay--listing fees and other items appeared to be double-billed and then credited back. There was so much back and forth, it was hard to tell if she had been overcharged. She's one of many EBay sellers to experience the problem since the auction site switched to a new billing system earlier this year. Spaulding, a longtime buyer turned clothing seller in the past year, has stopped listing items on EBay and doesn't know if she'll ever resume.

And in July, Spaulding and another plaintiff filed a class action suit against EBay. The suit accuses the site of engaging in unlawful and deceptive conduct with respect to its billing practices. EBay firmly denies the allegations and says that all problems have been corrected--a claim the suit apparently does not dispute.

    Eh? :eyebrow:

eBay made a mistake. It spotted the mistake, held up it's hand and admitted to it, and all errors in billing arising from the issue have been rectified. Where is the basis for a law suite?

This happened to me not so long ago.

Although it dragged out over a month and was a nightmare trying to sort it all out everything was OK in the end and eBay staff were pretty helpful.

I can't understand how people would even think of suing over things like this, oh wait, it's in the land of the free, erm sorry I mean land of the law suits

Dude, eBay is an American company yes?
You so much as walk past someone's house in the US & they'll probably try to sue you over "invasion of personal space" (don't even bother to ask what they'll sue you for if you breathe while walking past their house.)

its not just the states ebay were on watch dog a week or so ago about fraud etc and the fact that although buying a repution as a trusted seller is against their code of conduct watch dog did a search on it and came up with over a 100 auctions selling just that also they were pulling them on the fact that no matter how much you get ripped off. Ebay will only offer a MAXIMUM of £105.00 in compensation thats if they admit that they have any liablity at all
