Yup, not that I care much to be fair... Random passwords etc mean that info won't get them very far.

For anyone who hasn't had the email yet, here's the general statement:

"We recently learned that hackers gained unauthorized access to the decade-old BioWare server system supporting the Neverwinter Nights forums. We immediately took appropriate steps to protect our consumers’ data and launched a thorough ongoing evaluation of the breach.
We have determined that no credit card data was compromised from the servers, nor did we ever have or store sensitive data like social security numbers.

Our investigation shows that information such as user names, encrypted passwords, email addresses, mailing addresses, names, phone numbers, CD keys and birth dates from these forum accounts on the system may have been compromised, as well as other information (if any) that you may have associated with your EA Account.

In an abundance of caution, we have changed your password to ensure account security.
Please visit (inserted web url) to reset your password immediately."

I received mine today, however this happened last week (or the week before that) even.

Some people received emails then so i wonder what's happened now :S and if it's a separate (repeat) incident.

I wish someone would drop a bomb on lulzsec. Or just get their mothers to explain to them that it doesn't make them cool, that would probably work too.

Apparently producing good games makes you an evil corporation. Who knew?

Spam filter caught it. I can't remember what password I used but since my account is probably 6 or 7 years old I'm doubting I reused it:sigh:

With Bioware being heavily linked to EA now; I have a feeling that the attack was somehow inspired by the whole misinformed nonsense about EA, Crysis 2 being taken off Steam and the development of Origin. :\

I wonder if the older system with NWN on was the only one with somewhat out-dated security, if so I'd have to say good job to Bioware for the server for newer stuff being kept secure with the current state of events.

I just got this email today.

I think the only thing I had signed up for was Bioware social network for Dragon Age. :/

Yep I got one as-well. I tried logging into the main site and it kept saying my password was wrong. Baffled, I went to my email inbox and there was the message.

I never played NWN so I have absolutely no idea why they are messaging me.

It wasn't just the old Bioware site. I was trying to log into the newer social one for Dragon Age, Mass Effect ect. Had to change my password to log in. Also the account doubles up as an EA account. Probably why you got messaged.
