Hoping for some help with some ideas. I need to arrange a birthday bash for the mrs' 30th birthday. The issue is that the bar has been set rather high. Her sister arranged a group of cottages for her husbands 30th and 20 of us spent best part of a week there. For her sisters 30th again around 20 people for a weekend on the norfolk broads in a couple of barges. Sooo any ideas on what I could do along a similar vein? 15-20 people for a whole weekend preferably including the Friday night?
End of April ideally somewhere around the midlands but would consider anywhere really. I'll take a look at the windmill when I have a better connection than my phone!
The mentions of keeping noise down may become a bit of an issue. The rabble that will be coming along are likely to be a bit loud!
I read that as she arranged a group of cottagers for her husbands 30th. Changed my whole perspective on ****! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cottaging
For my friends' 40th we went to Cropton Cabins and hired three between the 12 of us. It worked out around £460 per cabin in July for the three nights, Friday, Saturday, Sunday night and leaving on the Monday. April should be cheaper! It's on the edge of a forest, lots of walking/cycling routes available plus each cabin has a hot tub, bbq facility and veranda. If there's up to 20 people, it could be a bit tight for the celebrations but 15 is definitely possible.
