Again with Twitter. /sigh
What's wrong with Twitter? Would you prefer it to be somewhere else?
Only the work of a few minutes to sign up Can't blame them far wanting some publicity.
What's wrong with a page on bit-tech for the competition? I don't like Twitter. I don't want to give another company my details. I'm a bit-tech customer.
twitter can go swivel
You don't need to give details to Twitter any more than you need to enter the competition. If you don't want to sign up to Twitter then you can easily wait for the future competitions, which, as I mention in the article, will not all involve Twitter.
Twitter is a convenient way for us to launch competitions like this and is a convenient way for those users to respond back to us. Creating a new page or form for simple one week competitions isn't convenient for anyone - especially as we'd then have to validate entries in a different way, probably involving the newsletter.
Again with the consoles
Incidentally, if you want our non-twitter, non-console competitions then there are FAR MORE of them...
I like it better now that not so many of the competitions are blatant attempts by the energy companies to bombard you with marketing literature and sales calls... I am not a twitter-user but a competition is privilege I suppose, and lots of people do use Twitter so I can understand the idea behind it.
And the prizes have been consoles so far because the best ones (the PC orientated ones) are being saved til' last, yeah????
Can we get a PC gamer's competition please?
You'd need something like...a forum for that, and setting up a forum would be over....
I really should play get round to playing Diamond Dan sometime, perfect holiday fodder. Thanks guys!
Love offers...is so cool it's actually blocked at my work
And the Enermax competition wants my home adress, and telephone number
Yeah likely, very likely
I mean, twitter gets attractive compared to that
Could be worse, you could be using Facebook
Oh No, your details? Are you one of those that still after 10 years + refuse to buy anything online due to security issues.
Thanks guys! Sent my e-mail in before reading this.
Just to note, I did tweet that Ultima 7 was my favorite game, not sure where you guys got Pools of Radiance. Don't get me wrong, Pools was a good game too, but I spent far too many hours playing U7.
Only just read this. Will correct the article. Sadly, the letter I just sent out with your prize is now going to make very little sense...
Will winners from North America be getting NTSC versions of the game? A few years ago I won an XBOX 360 game on another site and received a PAL version. Unfortunately it was useless to me since I needed an NTSC version.
Also to note, my name in the article is spelled wrong
Separate names with a comma.
