Why are there so many posts written by 12 year olds? I think someone mentioned that the forum rules state that you must be 13 to register. Shouldn't there be more regulation? Sorry, I know mods can be in all the threads at once but it just seems peculier(sp?) that there are so many members with only 1 or 2 posts that sound like they are comming from the same person. Example is Carnut101. I know he has been banned but maybe he has other accounts. Doesn't Bit-tech have a way to block his IP or something? Maybe I'm off base about this but it sort of concerns me when our community is invaded by such immaturity.
Of course we can block IPs and yes, his IP was banned. Unfortunately people have dynamc IPs and it's unfair to ban hostmasks! Usually you can spot a 'repeat offender' and a few times in the past we've re-banned already banned users who have re-signed up - they're not particularly hard to spot We try to deal with such instances the best we can - as you said, we can't be in every thread, and frankly we wouldn't want to be! yeah, lately ive been seeing pathetic questions that would get a nice RTFM anywhere else get posted in places like modding, wasnt there a DVD software question in modding?
He asked to be banned for the duration of last week so that he could get some revision done for his GCSEs
Hmm that sounds like a good idea - but I know I'll just visit as a guest or just start making patterns with coins again - anything to not do revision...
