a suggestion if you will allow me, there is a function in the kernel which will allow you to know if the screen saver is on and you might check it to and make a bandwidth saver in the subscriber also...from visual basic you would need to import it from kernel32.dll i think...now if i would only remeber the name of that function...
/me goes googlin, i ll edit if i find something of use for ya

    ok...i waz wrong...the function was in user32.dll

    linky \
the function imported is SystemParametersInfo and as i recall you could also use it to see if the screensaver is active, a quick search on msdn will reaveal it s uses probably...note...this is from memories so don t base yourself on what i say...good luck

It wont work, thanks to the forum upgrade. We might do another one, but don't expect it right away.

ummm...... great idea, looks good, but does nothing for me. i have had it running for about 30 mins now, and nothing, but I'm still getting e-mail announcements saying someone has replied to a yadda yadda... how come nothing shows up in the program?

Would it not be a better idea to delete all emails which have " ...... replied at Bit Tech Forums(or whatever the subject line is)" as the subject, lest you delete any important announcement emails from the admins which would possibly happen by deleting any Bit Tech Forum email?

Yes, that would be better. Anyhow with this new vb3 software I think you can subscribe to threads without any email notifications. That would mean you wouldn't have to delete any emails. Just something to think about if anyone ever actually does make a new vb3 version.

Hey DeX, maybe you could edit the thread title so people don't carry on making fools of themselves :D

Maybe if you put this in the right spot, it might help? Where is it finding the virus?
