Xtrafresh, quick tip add a ground, just a huge plane that takes up the whole picture, or some other type of background. will make it much better Metric, that looks really awesome, but the fittings looks a bit short, no ?
first final pic for the sketchup design comp still need some post work though and the depth of field is a bit to "hard"
Looks great Dark +1 on the DOF, just slightly too much blur. Have you tried other backdrop colors? I feel that the case 'hides' with it, the tabletop and backdrop being similar colors.
Just a quick render with new cpu.. 11 0f 12 Threads. 35 passes at 800x600 in 10 minutes at 4ghz.. Pretty good temps for clock imo..
In cpu z it says (ES) as in engineering sample. Its not officially out yet i know. It may not be out til july either... http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=171756&page=8
looking good editor ! im at it again aswell, i just moved and fixed the problems i had with my renderboxes, so therell be updates soon !
Thanks lenne when we going to see yours in all its glory? Knocked up a few renders of my current scratch build using the free version of twilight for SU, There nothing special but gives me a good idea of the direction I'm going in
Wow, twilight doesn't even look that bad. In fact, it looks better than most results Kerkythea'd give you. How long did it take to render those pictures? I always thought all reytracing software integrated in Sketchup sucked. I'd work a bit on the motherboard, stretch the texture a bit and give it round corners so that you can't see those ugly white borders.I'd also add screws and the like for good measure.
Yeah I was really surprised actually had gotten used to 3ds and v-ray about 2 years ago but totally forgot how to use it all since then so its nice to find a free Su app that gives good enough results to pin up in the workshop Those renders took about 3 hours using 8 cores (could be wrong something is rendering at the moment so cant check for sure) but its a progressive render tracing from 0 -> 10000 pretty sure those were about the 400 mark when I got bored and stopped them Will have a play around with the mobo and screws a bit later I think but dont want to spend to much time on it as I'd rather be building it in the shop lol Heres the image that got me thinking Hmm ill give twilight a bash
