Unfortunately the issue occurred on various window sizes, I just reduced it to make the screenshot more forum friendly. Today's was on 1366 x 768 laptop, the previous was fixed as it was on an iPad.

PS, as mentioned by Andrew it is intermittent.

In my case, the advert was partially obscured by the top bar on larger window sizes; on smaller window sizes (including the quarter-native screenshot) it looked fine. Strange!
Aye, but what I can't understand is why you guys are seeing the footer problem often enough to be able to verify it as affecting multiple browsers across multiple devices whereas I've not seen it once - and I use the site pretty heavily. There's clearly something that means my systems are immune to the problem while yours aren't, but I'm damned if I know what it is.

    Hi guys,

If anyone receives the rendering issues related to the footer and ad placement as outlined by various users above, please can you email me directly at matt@bit-tech.net with the source code of the page you're trying to view at the time. I will then forward to the relevant people and we can try to get a fix :)

    Cheers,
    Matt

    Emailed just now.

I think the culprit is the NTT Communications advert at the top of the page.

Definitely the NTT Comms ad. It's happened several times today, and every time it's had the same advert at the top of the page (it's the static version of the ad; the animated one seems fine):

Also, if I want to post something, I have to write it, copy it, reload the page, and then paste it in and hit 'reply' really fast, otherwise it gets stuck.

For some reason, clearing my cookies seems to solve the problem for a while.

I'm basically at my wits end with this, and thinking about leaving the forum.

It's really hard to fix it unless I can replicate the problem. What browser, OS, browser plugins, are you using?

    Don't do that!

Although it'd ensure I win the race to 10 kiloposts...

The footer rendering issue is really starting to become a pain in the ****, especially when viewing on the ipad.

PS. It always seems to occur when the NTT Comms ad is on the loop.

Still happening, the NTT advert is still the cause.

Is it timing out? That happened a couple of times this morning, but it's been fine for me this evening.

Been having some page loading delays here to day, using Opera 26. Opera tells me it is waiting for cnd.slingpic.com every time. Halting page loading allows it to be displayed.
