Everything I have driven, My speedo always over reads, that is why I have never been on a 30 road without someone right up my arse when I do a perfect 30. Everyone else must under read.

I'd put cold hard cash on most 30 zones being no where near a school

And yet the speedo operation is not an item which requires checking during an MOT...

I never said British law made sense, none the less the rules on the speedometer are right there.

Speedometer must never show less than the actual speed, but may show a speed up to 110% of the actual speed and still fall within limits.

School zone speed limits in my part of Wales are actually 20mph - often with speed bumps.

What is amusing is that with all the sensors on the car, it tends to know exactly how fast it is going but still over reads, I can see that reading the data from my datalogger.

School areas tend to be 20mph.

Merc already have another suspension as they only used the trick one on certain tracks

The Force India in the flesh looks FAB.

(As opposed to renders that is..)

That's surprising, as Horner seemed very confident that theirs was legal and I think I remember him saying in an interview with Ted Kravitz that they even had a letter/email from Charlie Whiting confirming as much. I really hope it doesn't hurt them too badly as would love to see 3 teams capable of winning and some really close racing between them all.

I can only assume that the Merc team is streets ahead of the competition, with the FIA forcing the suspension change and allowing Verstappen to drive like a d!ck again.

Merc did not exploit all the Aero as much, Is probably a large part of why it affected them little, The Fric Change resulted in worse tyre wear was the general consenses from most reports.

Problem is they were 1 pit stop clear anyway lol.

Whilst Charlie is in charge of enforcing the rules at a Grand Prix weekend, is it actually his decision what is and isn't legal?

Also, Horner talks a lot of crap.

Bottas needs to improve fast or this could be a very 1 sided season.

Normal service has resumed. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Despite free practice never painting a full picture the splits between team mates are very telling. Torro Rosso looks slightly uncompetitive and Grosjean looks stellar

Very hard to get a gauge at the mid-field ranking from practice - there are distinct gaps in the times, but they are all split between team mates... The gaps between the likes of Alonso and Vandoorne, Hulk and Palmer and Grosjean and Magnussen makes it quite difficult to figure out where each team sits as a whole.

Yea tho I would say the team number 1 driver was who came out on top. Bit unfair considering driver changes and any driving style changes. As you say, team splits aren't clear.

At a quick glance Williams does look strong and Stroll is way way off the pace. Saubers I would also argue are there abouts and McLaren are possibly a similar pace (possibly nursing that engine). The rest is impossible to draw anything without pre season assumptions causing bias.
It will be interesting to see race pace rather than one lap

Well both Mclarens covered 26 laps this morning, that's a record for mileage in a day.
