Ouch lads hahah. But yeah, when it does get announced officially, I don't think anyone will be surprised - As I said before, it's what happens if Alonso feels like he'd rather go Karting on another race weekend, or rollerblading... or anything other than dragging that car around.

So ESPN reckons the Alonso Indy 500 thing could be because McLaren wants to dip its toe back in the Indycar pool.
Well if they can't complete the F1's average 305km race distance surely they can complete the 805km Indy500 race distance! Conspiracy theory....Alonso's release clause and pay is tied to completed race distance.
Now the question is - when and where will Rosberg return ? I mean Massa retired, then returned. Button retired, and will return. Rosberg retired...
When Ferrari or someone else can seriously compete with Merc on a regular basis and offer Rosberg a fat cheque -- assuming there are no sharp up-and-comers who could do 90% of the job for half the money. He's not coming back to race alongside LH, that's for sure. And he's not coming back to faff about looking for scraps. It's P1s and WDC or nothing. TL;DR - A Rosberg return is all but fantasy.
Waffle doesn't even make it to the grid, Alonso is at the back due to an engine change... So that's 4 engine component failures this weekend alone [so far] for McHonda. ...and people wonder why Alonso is thinking '**** it... let's have a go at Indy and Le Mans'
Much better race again, Aus was such a low point. As for Lewis he cost himself the chance with the 5 second penalty, but not sure why the team didn't send him out on super softs for the last stint?
the C4 opinion seems to be: Merc have dominated for so long, they're so used to battling themselves for the win, they don't know how to handle Ferrari being quick. They go through the race, doing what they've always done and roll up at the end thinking 'what do you mean we didn't win?... we always win...'. Also Vettel was not liking that stuff they get on the podium in Bahrain... Took a gobful and then spat it out... EDIT: Sainz gets a 3-place grid drop in Russia for Ploughing into Stroll
I know it's not champagne, but some of the non-alchoholic fizz things are quite nice... that one evidently was not... EDIT: Wasn't it Vettel who wasn't allowed to drink the champagne on the podium in Turkey because he was under their drinking age at the time?
Very good race. Agree with that assessment that Merc are racing themselves and can't read the other teams. I also think Ferrari had the confidence to put Vettel in traffic, after Melbourne I reckon Merc didn't. Vettel Referenced Easter a few times. Wonder if the rage/PC squad will complain being in a Muslim country. Lewis also spat it out, tho he was far more subtle and done it at the back of the podium.
Sky's take was that the soft was the better tyre. Pretty sure there was a radio chat between Hamilton and the pit wall to that effect. Bottas struggled with the rears on the supersoft, so didn't think they'd last going flat out trying to catch Vettel.
Hardly the home of Rosewater so I imagine that has something to do with it; it's very much an indian thing.
