If he's any lower than second he'll be sent packing back to Williams for 2018 and Felipe baby can finally put his feet up.

Tbh i'd rather the final car have that orange hex livery than whatever dull bs they'll inevitably opt for...

Now that Ron's gone, I'm hoping they go for a 'new start' kind of approach, I'd like to see a modern take on the red/white liveries but failing that I'll settle for Orange :thumb:

I'd just like a change from the sea of grey, dark grey and nearly-black...

As long as it's better than the last two years of the Hispania Replica paintwork.

Macca had a pic of Stoffelwaffle in all-grey gear. Whether that's not new..?

Liberty Media: Now that we own this company, we'd like it to make some money.

Ecclescake: Ah, see, that's not how it works around here, you see... errr... people give me the money... and erm Formula 1 sort of happens while I look for who's got the most money to give to me...

Liberty Media: How is this arrangement supposed to benefit Formula 1?

    Ecclescake: I AM Formula 1

Liberty MEdia: Not any more sunshine...

OMG! I might actually watch F1 again! Now if they could only evict limp d Jean Todd from the FIA it would be awesome.

Maybe the idea of F1 without the poison dwarf has loosened some purse strings?

Also, Brawn is head of racing or something to that ilk in F1 now.
    That's not terrible news.

Chase Carey: "I am excited to be taking on the additional role of CEO. F1 has huge potential with multiple untapped opportunities.

Scary comments if you ask me. I think the sport would be far better off winding the clocks back 10 - 12 years when we had V10's and a much more exciting sport.

Rose tinted visors there. During the V10 era we had some of the fastest cars ever, not making a single overtake during a race.

I think the tweaks to the cars need to be much smaller than the new for 2017 aero rules. Give the 14-16 cars unlimited fuel flow (but same size tanks), unlimited revs, 8 engines in a season, the new beefier tyres and they would have been properly exciting to watch. Now we're about to go back to cars that can't follow each other.

The rules flip-flopping of the last ten years (More downforce! Less downforce! More downforce! etc) has been a symptom of Bernie losing his grip and Todt being a wet fart.

As for his business comments, F1 is going pay per view, it's inevitable since Ecclestone's strategy of demanding ever more exorbitant fees from broadcasters is collapsing.
