The problem with theories like that is, we all know that if roles were reversed they'd pull red bull/gasly on leclerc, rather than tell vettel to 'let the kid win this one, boost his confidence a bit'.

You guys are giving the morons at Ferrari too much credit. They're **** at strategy, this level of skulduggery is well beyond them, PERIOD.

VET got ahead because of his blinding pace on the in and out laps, plus LEC losing pace like crazy on dying tyres.

Any thoughts on Kyvatt/Raikkonen or Grosjean/Russell?

Kyvatt came from a long way back and was always going to hit Raikkonen unless he suddenly disappeared. Raikkonen was unlucky that the angle broke the steering/ Kyvatt was lucky he didn't loose something as well.

Grosjean upon realising the gap was going to disappear turned right instead of slowing down. the fact he was tangling with a Williams says a lot.
He's went from a "fast driver who could race but made bad mistakes" to a "fast driver who looked like he had potential to achieve something in the sport" to a "bad driver".

As unpopular penalties are, if both incidents go unpunished then we have went to the other extreme with penalties and the rules. I do think in Monza they got it spot on but in this case both incidents where moments of madness that ended 2 drivers races.

I think in both incidents there is a possible blame, so for me Grosjean and Kimi. Kimi has actually apologised saying it was his error.

Penalty wise, Monza the stewards were spot on, Singapore they were too lenient letting almost everything slip by.

It's official! So it'll take seven years to get Mclaren back to where they started. There must be some voices in Woking cursing Ron's name every time they walk through the door. On the other hand Brown, DeFerran and Seidl do seem to have a plan.

Out of the coma, goes into surgery to hopefully save his legs tomorrow. Here's hoping luck's on his side as well as everything else.

I hope not, orange is Mclaren and there's already a silver team.

Random... but why would other teams need to approve the name change? Or is it one of those 'oh it's a different team now, no prize $$$ for you' things?

Possibly to do with licencing and how the team identities exist.

Video from the FI purchase explains it.

I wonder how long Renault will continue if they've not got any customer teams to recoup engine development costs?

On today's race, I bet 'you know who' is going to go absolutely ballistic in the team debrief.

So, just a weekend after Seb covered himself in glory he goes and reminds everyone that he can also be a total slimeball.
    https://www.planetf1.com/news/vettel-didnt-understand-ferrari-team-orders/

I think Seb's time at Ferrari is coming to an end, maybe they won't renew his contract at the end of next year, but if he keeps pulling crap like that it'll be Raikkonen or Hulk in the Ferrari next year playing designated number 2.

He "didn't understand" the orders? What a load of bollocks, a brain dead flea could work out that the team has to give Charles priority to stop Max from taking 3rd in the championship.

Alan McNish... it's like they shrunk Coulthard in the wash...

...seriously, Monger has no legs and he's still taller than McNish.
