Will Aston Point Racing Martin throw Perez under the bus [well it ain't gonna be Stroll now is it?] for Vettel?

This years F1 sporting regulations lists air ducts as a part which team MUST design themselves (a change compared to last year). Thus if this years RP air ducts are identical to current or last year's Mercedes air ducts, RP got a huge problem. And if the parts are identical, that could trigger a comprehensive review of how identical the cars are, possibly resulting in possible penalties/illegality of the car. That is why it was the air ducts, which were 'seized' for review.

It is in FIA's hand in the end, we can only wait for the result.

Will there be a punishment for Merc if they've been found to supply information?

It feels like paying someone to copy their homework and failing to change a few of the answers to make it seem like it was their own work now

Ferrari is also celebrating it's 1000th GP that weekend... not sure this year so far is looking much like a grand celebration that weekend.

On the note of the RP brake ducts, Marc Priestly has an interesting take on that, involving the courts and all.

If I was Stroll Senior I'd be haggling for Russell and keeping Perez. It would be the best business decision. Failing that, Vettel and Perez, Lance has had a good stab but he clearly hasn't got it.

But then, billionaire's gonna billionaire, he wants his son teamed uo with Vettel. I think that's going to turn out embarrassing for everyone, but especially the Strolls.

    Also.

Cause clearly all this is Binottos fault. He should of designed a better car, not crashed into Vettel, not spun his car, ensured qualifying was dry or come to some sort of secret deal to remove Ferraris engine trickery.

    To recap.
Binotto was chief technical officer, before that he was chief of engine design, he implemented whatever skeevy tricks they were using through 2018-19.
Binotto privately and publicly undermined Arrivabene's leadership and lobbied for himself to take the role pointing to his success in designing the car.
It's now 19 months since he took over and Ferrari is in chaos, his engine tricks have been found out, the car is down on power and aero, the drivers are openly at odds with each other and making stupid mistakes. It's a special kind of failure on F1 to make a car that's slower than the one you built last year.

Whatever his abilities as an engineer Binotto's clearly not a very good leader, if he carries on in public the way he did against Arrivabene I dread to think what he's like to work for in private.

To quote myself from last year.

Probably should just hand Merc the constructors now if they keep this up...

All the technical know how in all these teams and they can't design masks that don't fall down all the time requiring constant readjustment.

As for Hamilton/Merc winning all the time, it not much different to schmachers/ferraris 5 straight wins and then vettel/red bulls 4 straight, I got totally bored then too

At least rosbergs win broke it up a little.

I can't wait for the Riccardo/Norris pairing with Merc power.

Tracing Point have a great idea for a new mask. They're just waiting for Merc to design it. :)

As lolworthy Max stuffing it into the wall on the way to the grid is...

...kudos to the RBR spanner monkeys for getting it fixed in time.
