Not at all. Imagine roflols if Kimi wins [or even stays on the podium]. EDIT: maybe not. Sainz - IDGAF about Kimi I want at Gasly.
Kimi won't make the top 3 with The Carlos behind him. In fact Carlos might win this, now I'm conflicted.
Alpha Tauri gets it's second ever win, at Monza, again. Yay Pierre! ~Edit, Mercedes have a complete 'mare of a race yet still extend their lead in both championships. Red Bull and Ferrari should be ridiculed for that. There's nothing wrong with those Honda and Renault engines anymore either, that's nice.
Alpha Tauri outperform RBR [nil points, lul] McLaren outperform their current and future engine suppliers' works teams Alfa and Haas technically outperform Ferrari [by virtue of actually having cars finish] It was a pretty good day for the F1.5 teams.
Merc's 'mare of a race = 16 points RBR capitalising on Merc's nightmare = 0 pts Ferrari maximising home advantage = 2x DNF
Nah, he'll be getting in on the ground floor for the 2022 season changes. As much as I love watching them suffer, they'll be back.
To be fair to Vettel, brake failure was not his fault, I think Leclerc got a bit feisty with the throttle which sent him wibbly. Botta's just went a bit "meh" Hamilton, well he needs to pay attention to lights Verstappen, engine problem apparently but was it saving the engine? He was nowhere along with AlsoAlbon who again didn't do much.
I hate it when penalties affect a race. I'm confused why the pits were shut as I wasn't actually watching the race.
I was following the radio commentary so could be wrong here but - Magnussen broke down/pulled off close to the pit in, and for reasons unknown to science rather than push him back away from the pit in they closed the pits and pushed him into the pits. As soon as the SC came out, Hamilton and Giovanazzi immediately dived in the pits, seemingly not knowing [or hadn't been told by their team] the pits were closed. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
There was no space in that opening to put the car to, unless you wanted the marshals to abandon that post, and didn't mind car sticking out a bit: Note the extra grey fence next to the marshal waving the yellow flag. And about penalties - it is not like he didn't know pit lane was closed. The whole event notes document is 11 pages long, including a front page, one half empty page and 4 pages of pictures, one of which shows where photographers are not allowed, and another showing tyre specs. Point 5 said what is shown when pit lane is closed or mandated, page 9 shown the pit lane light locations. On the video you can also clearly see the flashing crosses at locations marked in the document. Hamilton should have seen both of them, as you can see it it from Hamilton's own car camera: https://www.formula1.com/en/video/2..._pit_lane_penalty_puts_race_win_in_doubt.html After that, you might ask, why such harsh penalty. Well, that was the only penalty available for that breach of rules. The sporting regulations say: Point 38.3(d) is the definition of a 10-second stop&go penalty.
Mental thing is if it had happened about 10 laps earlier he was probably still makes podium. Redbull had a really awful weekend, which I thought was kinda karma saying hi. Renault and Mclaran both look faster than Redbull since the technical directive changes
