Yeah, its looking more ominous for Albon now - thoroughly nice chap from what I've seen in interviews, but just not cutting at the front end.
Should Albon remain in the Red Bull seat? At least up to that point he was making a weak argument. That spin, upgraded the second class stamp used on the letter that his services are terminated to a personal visit from Helmut with security in tow to remove him from the team before he had even made it back to the pits. In other news Stroll putting Marshalls at risk by speeding past them. Other drivers had the precence of mind to ovey flags and slow down. Stroll used the oppertunity to try and set a pb middle sector :/ https://the-race.com/formula-1/the-unseen-marshal-danger-at-imola-that-needs-action/
The fastest a Ferrari has went all season. Even tho carrying part of their car has a -10 to all stats
They said it was nearly up a second a lap at one point, cunningly the black bit was the section sticking out with the red hidden so they couldn't see it on the cameras. Came from Vettel clashing with Magnusson at the Tosa hairpin early on, there were no yellow flags to indicate debris on track which is pretty poor.
Oh, Thought that was Ericssons fault Romain? Shouldnt he be getting the call? Least Russell owned his mistake and already has shown signs of growing from it, thats the fundamental difference. Also Russell has yet to attempt to put his car through Alonsos head. I know its a joke but I dislike that man and his incessant whining.
Albon's gone. Don't see him recovering from last weekend. With Marko coming out and saying that there will be a very young driver next to gasly at AT next year, looks like kvyat is also in for the chop and could mean both are gone from the grid all together next year. Rumours abound that hulkenberg is the favourite to replace albon, as red bull are confident in his ability to deliver good consistent results without his head getting messed up about being beaten consistently by max, which they suspect would happen to Perez. Personally I don't see that happening. He's shown a lot of maturity and level headedness over the last couple of years despite all the chaos around him, but being on the inside they likely know things we don't.
I wonder, what does the lockdown do to the rest of the season, being that most of the teams and their factories are based in the UK?
They're working so international travel is allowed. I think Turkey, Bahrain and UAE, the remaining visits, just require testing on entry with self isolation (which they will perhaps waive for the F1 bubble as a whole).
