Poll question and options: How will you vote in the upcoming General Election?

    1. Conservative
    2. Labour
    3. Other (Lib Dem, Green, SNP, etc.)

So I figured it'd be interesting to get a (very) rough idea of how this community will vote on Thursday (or indeed if you have already voted). There's an existing thread for discussion here if you want to rant about May or Corbyn, et al.; this thread is primarily about the poll but feel free to leave a comment if you are so inclined.

Thanks folks (and TIA to a mod for making this an actual poll!). :thumb:

Done - thought I would add some other options too to include our regional brethren / nutters etc :thumb:

Edit: I've left it anonymous to try to promote more accurate results :)

I'm really torn, everyone's awful this time round:

Conservative: Snooper's charter, to say the least
Greens: I have no faith in their abilities, don't love the manifesto
Independent: 22yo guy who can't even be bothered to campaign on Twitter
Labour: Local candidate is awful, plus Diane Abbott
Lib Dems: Second EU referendum ?!?
    Nazis: Dissolved 1945
    SNP: Second Independence referendum?!?
    UKIP: Are you mad?

Luckily I live in a safe Tory constituency or I'd be really worried about making the wrong choice.

I will probably spoil my ballot paper... seriously, I wouldn't want to see any of them in charge.

I know what that feels like. Here it's a 61% Labour majority, with second place going to the Tories on 13% (and then I think UKIP). Lib Dems aren't even fourth (greens above them), shows how students feel about them. Back home isn't much better with Conservatives on %59% and UKIP second with 14% (closely followed by Labour).

    What a crap system.

Normally I'd vote Dems, but tempted to vote for Pirate Party given how poorly digital issues seem to be understood right now (and partially because I think Lib Dems have kinda sold themselves out for cheap votes to stay in the EU, they don't really feel like a thinking man's party anymore)..

I'm voting Green Party, then claiming false advertising :naughty:

Just kidding, my wife has told me if I vote Conservatives she will divorce me. I told her it's a tempting offer, but I just don't trust May...

Unfortunately our election system is such is that voting for who I would like is pointless in my region and I have to basically do my own alternative vote and vote for my next favourite in order to keep the Tories out.

    No worries :)

Agreed. I am a staunch Labour supporter but live in a very safe Conservative seat (roughly 60% - 25%) so voting for me is fairly pointless. I will still vote anyway however.

Same town and same situation as you, but would like a 'None of the Above' option though

    SNP for me.

Not because I support independence (it would be the dumbest thing since Brexit) but because the SNP are dedicated to renewable energy and as that is the sector I work in, I want to keep myself in a job.

I like a lot of what Corbyn has to say (I voted Labour in the past), but I don't think he can do the job. Plus I like the fact that Thatcher May and Sturgeon hate each other's guts.

I wouldn't trust the labour incumbent to tie his own shoes... but he'll probably still win and at least is a known quantity of idiot...

a wise person once told me that there are 2 things you don't openly discuss.

    Religion
    Politics

I can see this thread turning sour, fast.

I confused most of the doorstep people by saying im voting Plaid Cymru, the fact im in Buckinghamshire left them foxed for a minute or two.

Genuinely don't know what ill do all have minor pros, an major cons an the last few elections ive been shafted each time. This ones no different
