myspace is a place where you get your own free profile, blog, upload images, add friends to your list, etc etc.

you might want to think about changing that. simply c+p'ing the site blurb and then stating it's an 'unofficial' group seems a bit offbase to me. "'we' did this, 'we' did that, oh yeah, and i'm not part of 'we' ok!"

just say that it's an unofficial group for members of the bit tech dot net intarweb site

ps: rtt is just gonna love a bit-tech myspace group [IMG]

    last line
"PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS AN UNOFFICIAL GROUP, THE STAFF OF BIT-TECH.NET HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH THIS GROUP."
is that not good? should I add something else? Also, rtt, can we add the bit-tech.net logo to the images? thanks

i'm not saying that it's bad form as such. i can hardly see the bit-lawyers chasing after you with dollar signs in their eyes ;)

it just kinda seems disjointed. the blurb goes on about 'we' (ie bit-tech.net), and then you go on to say that it's an 'unofficial group'. it just doesn't run smoothly.

might help if you plopped "bit-tech.net's mission statement:" at the start or something... i dunno.

alternatively, you could just ignore me. i probably would tbh. i'm hung over big-style and it's probably my stupid brain being slower than usual...

i think you are right, i will go through and change some of the tense and replace "we" with "bit-tech.net" and what not. thanks and go take a nap or something :)

I'm hoping the majority of members here aren't sad enough to have an account.

A few of my friends have one. It's like faceparty but a bit more complex. Just a profile system you can customise. You can say a bit about yourself, include some pics of yourself etc. There's loads of bands on it as well and you can listen to mp3s. Admittedly, most of the bands are utter bollocks.

These things are usually more of a community thing where you can add friends etc.

Although most of the people seem to be emo kids who add background music to the page and &&type.like.this__

P2D - No point?! We could have discussions about things, post pictures of ourselves (sometimes looking super emo) ask each other for advice, and we could all have an account on myspace that we could customize with, like, an avatar type thing, maybe some kind of profile with some information about ourselves, it'd be sweet.

Seriously. This is the biggest waste of time ever, it's just like a less useful version of the forums - what's the freakin' point?!
