Currently a senior at Indiana University studying computer information systems in the Business School, next year I'll be getting my masters in information systems.
bsc hons computer engineering at Glasgow Caledonian - currently final year student! ( also study with elthomsono )
Do you mind if I ask what A level grades you got, i'm hoping to go to the same uni, to do the same course? Thanks
Entry grades vary per course - they have typical offers on their website. I got AAAaaac in Maths, Physics and Chemistry A levels and Computing, Further Maths, General Studies and Philosophy AS levels.
Oh right, I'm doing Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics and planning to drop Chemistry for A2. Hopefully I will get in. *fingers crossed* Is it a good uni, as in good atmosphere?
Yeah, it's nice. The facilities are all top-notch and the staff are friendly and helpful. And there's plenty to do - it is London, after all
BEng Software Engineering at Staffordshire University (Stafford Campus), but jacked it in after two years because I was presented with a job offer, and because the Stafford Campus is the most depressing, god-awful place to be stuck in unless you like having nothing to do and/or are gay - 100% engineering/compsci (read: 100% male) campus a good social life does not make. Don't go there. I don't even know how I managed two years. If you are considering Staffs Uni, make sure you're at the Stoke Campus instead
Combined Bachelor of Science/Master of Engineering dual degree program. 2 semesters down, 9 to go. Major is "Engineering Physics", concentration is "Applied Optics". It's basically the ******* child of Physics and Electrical Engineering. I'm at Stevens Institute of Technology, which is a small mainly engineering school associated with NYU. The majors here are 65% engineering, 25% science, and 10% "business technology". 73% guys, 27% girls. A hint to the high school bachelors out there - if you want to meet girls at an engineering school, they're mostly Chemical Biology (aka Biochemistry) or Biomedical Engineering. Both are considered "Pre-Med" degrees.
Not technically university but working on my commercial pilots liscence and towards an aviation degree.
BSc in Microbiology from Reading. After a year of research at Leicester, I decided that I hated "wet work" (believe me, research involving microorganisms means an awful lot of waiting round, twiddling thumbs). Went on to do an MSc in Computer Modelling of Biomolecular Processes at Birkbeck College, London. Was all set to carry on and do a PhD, but got a job offer instead, and haven't looked back since
B.Eng (Hons) Computer Engineering at Teesside Uni. Mind you this was 15 years ago... long before binary was even invented. It's all a bit hazy now...
Went to Teesside Uni to do a BSc Visualisation course (when the course had just been validated). Passed all but two of the core modules in the second semester (3d maths and asm68k), which meant I couldn't continue to the second year So went on a HND Business IT course \o/ and passed with some distinctions, a load of merits and a few passes.
Hopefully assuming I achive my offer; EEE at imperial collage london. Should be great fun hitman012, know peter mack?
